Description

1871-S Twenty Dollar, MS60
Reddish and Green-Gold Color

1871-S $20 MS60 PCGS. Micro S. Reddish and green-gold hues dominate this Uncirculated Type Two twenty, one of 928,000 double eagles struck at San Francisco in 1871. The stars show full centers, and the eagle's feathers are well-detailed. Frosty luster appears on each side, though it is seemingly more vibrant on the reverse. An interesting die break is noted above MER in AMERICA. Myriad abrasions limit the grade.(Registry values: N2998)
