Description
1832 B-1 Quarter, Stunning MS65+
High on the Condition Census
1832 25C B-1, R.1, MS65+ PCGS. CAC. The 1832 quarters saw a
nominal late-series mintage of 320,000 pieces and are accorded
type-coin status, but Gem examples such as this one, from the
Gardner Collection, possess a cachet all their own and must not be
underestimated. We doubt that a finer example could be found at
any price. Stunning olive-mint interiors contrast nicely
against copper-colored peripheral patina on both sides of this Gem
1832 quarter. Top-notch cartwheel luster, a bold strike, and a lack
of any mentionable distractions complete the excellent eye
appeal.Ex: Purchased from Jason Carter (5/2011); Eugene Gardner Collection, Part II (Heritage, 10/2014), lot 98350.
