Description

Extremely Rare Curl Base 2 1829 Dime
Good Details, JR-10

1829 10C Curl Base 2--Damaged--NCS. Good Details. JR-10, R.6. Three somewhat circular obverse impressions have bent this piece and flattened opposite areas. Richly toned, with sea-green fields and lilac-gray devices. Most of LIBERTY is readable, and the base of the curl 2 is clear, although the date is affected by the impressions. Most examples of this famous rarity are low-grade, and the finest we have auctioned this decade is a damaged VF20 in March 2007.(Registry values: N1)
