Description

1923-D Peace Dollar, MS66 CAC
Rich Toning, Frosty Luster

1923-D $1 MS66 PCGS. CAC. The 1923-D Peace dollar had a large mintage of 6,811,000 coins, and many were stored in mint-sealed bags. This specimen is a pleasant exception to the bag marked and possibly cleaned or dipped survivors. Rich pearl-gray toning covers unscathed surfaces, with dashes of charcoal gray on the obverse. The strike is slightly soft in the centers as is typical for the issue. Thick frosty luster swirls over both sides, enhancing the attractive eye appeal. Approval by CAC for quality.(Registry values: N2998)
