1880-S $1 MS68 ★ Deep Mirror Prooflike NGC. The 1880-S
Morgan dollar was produced in large numbers, and high-grade
specimens are easily located, even with prooflike surfaces.
However, few coins can match the appeal of this magnificent MS68 ★
example. The design elements exhibit pinpoint definition throughout
and all devices have a rich frosty texture. The fields are brightly
reflective, with just a few minor hairlines and hints of green
toning at the rims. One small roller mark is evident in the right
reverse field. Visual appeal is terrific. Census: 1 in 68 ★ Deep
