Description
1860-S Quarter, XF Details
Key San Francisco Issue
1860-S 25C -- Damage -- PCGS Genuine. XF Details. Briggs
1-A. In 1860, the San Francisco Mint concentrated on double
eagle and half dollar production. Other denominations were coined
in limited number. The 1860-S quarter has a mintage of only 56,000
pieces, and all went into circulation. The present example displays
even, light wear and has microgranular slate-gray surfaces. The
"damage" is only a moderate distraction, and consists of clusters
of small marks on the field near the eagle's head.(Registry values: P8)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23TS, PCGS# 5453, Greysheet# 5193)
