Description
1897-O $1 MS61 PCGS. A satiny, lustrous Mint State example of this conditionally elusive New Orleans issue. The strike is above-average for the date although slightly weak on the eagle's breast. Light chatter on Liberty's cheek limits the grade in the absence of severe abrasions. Neither side is noticeably toned.(Registry values: P7, N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2566, PCGS# 7248, Greysheet# 7629)
