Description

1854 Type Two Gold Dollar, MS63+
Popular First-Year Type Issue, CAC

1854 G$1 Type Two MS63+ PCGS. CAC. The popular, if short-lived, Type Two or Indian Princess design is favorably sought after by first-year type collectors and gold dollar specialists alike. This example has honey-gold surfaces on radiant luster accented with orange and lilac in the protected spaces. Well-struck, it shows heavy clash marks which are typical of early gold dollars (as struck). Minimally abraded, just a few tiny ticks are visible under a loupe but aren't distracting. Eye appeal is outstanding and the high quality within the grade is confirmed by CAC.
