1962 Quarter Dollar, MS68

1962 25C MS68 NGC. Immaculate surfaces and a strong strike
are secondary to the complex toning characteristics of this Superb
Gem 1962 quarter. Virtually every color imaginable appears among
the devices of this coin and must be viewed under magnification to
be fully appreciated. Some areas display a spectrum of pastel
colors, each hue seemingly chosen to be in harmony with the
adjacent colors. Elsewhere, vividly intense blue, burgundy, green
and purple combine for a more deeply toned appearance. This is the
finest certified 1962 quarter by either service and a coin for the
most advanced Washington quarter collection. Census: 1 in 68, 0
