1813 O-101 Half Dollar, MS62
50C Over UNI Mint Blunder
1813 50C 50C Over UNI MS62 PCGS. O-101, R.2. Though
undesignated by variety on the holder, this is the Guide
Book engraver's blunder with the UNI in UNITED begun in the
wrong position after the eagle motif was impressed. The die was
lapped but traces of UNI are still evident. Splashes of
caramel-gold toning overlie coruscating slate-gray surfaces. The
fields are clashed but minimally abraded.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24F2, PCGS# 6104, Greysheet# 6153)
