1927 $1 MS66 PCGS. The 1927 is a lower-mintage date in the Peace dollar series, with only 848,000 pieces struck. Examples are rarely encountered as fine as MS66. NGC lists only five coins this fine and PCGS 27, with none numerically finer at either service. Additionally, these top-grade examples have appeared in our auctions on only 30 occasions since our Permanent Auction Archives began in 1993, averaging out to less than one appearance per year.
