1858-O Seated Half Dollar, WE RECOMMEND / WALTONS / BITTERS, About Good Host ; VF Counterstamp. Brunk W-141, Rulau Oh-Ci 169. Three-line prepared punch. About one dozen examples exist, all on half dollars. This was a well-known patent medicine sold by Samuel W. Walton, and as such exempt from liquor taxes despite containing flavored alcohol.Purchased in June 1979 from Paul Koppenhaver.
