1858 P1C Flying Eagle Cent, Judd-204, Pollock-248, R.5, PR62 PCGS. Paquet's small flying eagle motif is paired with an ornamental shield and oak wreath reverse. Struck in copper-nickel with a plain edge. This variety was part of the 12 coin set of pattern cents that may have been the earliest coin sets that the Mint sold to collectors. Scattered spots and trivial hairlines are noted on the reflective surfaces of this example that is housed in a PCGS rattler holder.
