Mint State Sharpness Closed Wreath
1849-C Gold Dollar
1849-C G$1 Closed Wreath -- Obverse Scratched -- NGC Details.
Unc. Variety 1. This peach-gold representative has a wide band
of shimmering luster across each border. The open fields are mildly
prooflike. Well struck despite minor softness on Liberty's hair.
Careful inspection reveals faint, straight pinscratches on the
cheek and through the nose, but these will be little noticed by
many collectors. A scarce Charlotte issue.
