1924-S $20 -- Obverse Cleaned -- NGC Details. Unc. Due to melting in the mid-1930s, the 1924-S is much scarcer in Mint State than its mintage of more than 2.9 million coins would suggest. This piece has Uncirculated sharpness but was lightly wiped on the obverse at one point, showing some hairlines, which NGC notes as cleaning. Eye appeal is pleasing, and the strike is sharp.
