1879 G$1 MS65 NGC. CAC. A Gem with exceptional visual appeal, this piece exhibits strong luster and intermingled shades of rich gold, orange, and red. Due to the obverse die that was used for this issue, much of LIBERTY is faint or missing. Clashmarks appear on the reverse. A few tiny as-made strike-throughs are present.
