Choice AU 1863 Gold Dollar
With Bold Die Clash Marks
1863 G$1 AU55 PCGS. CAC. With a mid-Civil War mintage of
only 6,200 circulation strikes, the 1863 gold dollar is rare in any
grade. This Choice AU example boasts delicate orange-gold
coloration with good luster. Marks are few, but the reverse is
boldly clashed, displaying clearly the reversed, raised BERTY from
the incused LIBERTY on Liberty's coronet on the obverse.
