With Bold Die Clash Marks

1863 G$1 AU55 PCGS. CAC. With a mid-Civil War mintage of only 6,200 circulation strikes, the 1863 gold dollar is rare in any grade. This Choice AU example boasts delicate orange-gold coloration with good luster. Marks are few, but the reverse is boldly clashed, displaying clearly the reversed, raised BERTY from the incused LIBERTY on Liberty's coronet on the obverse. Population: 5 in 55, 24 finer (9/11).(Registry values: N1793)
