Description

1901-S Barber Half, MS63
Condition Rarity

1901-S 50C MS63 PCGS. A Select example of this underrated semikey date that was little-saved at the time of release, this lustrous coin displays areas of light golden-brown toning at the outer edges. The strike is sharp on all but a few areas, including a few of the stars and the upper right portion of the shield, the top of the eagle's left wing, and the left claw. Aside from a few marks on Liberty's cheek, there are no marks worthy of mention. A small alloy spot appears near 11 o'clock on the obverse. Population: 9 in 63, 17 finer (12/13).(Registry values: N4719)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24ME, PCGS# 6491, Greysheet# 6597)
