1936 Walking Liberty Half, PR67
Key to the 1936-1942 Series
1936 50C PR67 NGC. The 1936 proof half dollar, with a
mintage of 3,901 pieces, is the key to the brief 1936-1942 series
of proof Walking Liberty half dollars. This inaugural issue makes
regular appearances in our auctions in PR64 and PR65 grades, and
even Premium Gems can be located with a little searching and
patience. The PR67 offered here is quite another story. Both sides
are virtually untoned, and the strike is fully detailed on each
side. Close scrutiny with a glass reveals no mentionable marks on
either obverse or reverse. Census: 85 in 67 (1 in 67+, 5 in 67
