MS62 1850-C Gold Dollar
Condition Census Quality

1850-C G$1 MS62 PCGS Secure. CAC. Variety 1. Among the finest known examples of this low mintage (6,966 pieces) Charlotte issue. Both sides are fully struck, uncommon for the remote branch mint facility, although the '50-C gold dollar was one of its better-made issues. The apricot-gold and lime-green surfaces are mildly prooflike and are devoid of mentionable marks. For those who wish to track appearances of high grade pieces, we note a pinpoint carbon spot at the 1 o'clock point of the 11 o'clock star. The pedigree of the current lot is unknown. Population: 5 in 62, 1 finer (4/12).(Registry values: N7079)
