1916-S Indian Half Eagle, MS63
Final Branch Mint Five
1916-S $5 MS63 PCGS. A smallish mintage of 240,000 Indian
half eagles was achieved at the San Francisco Mint in 1916, the
final branch mint issue of the design. No half eagles were struck
between 1916 and 1929 at any U.S. mint. This well-detailed Select
example displays pleasing orange-gold surfaces with ample mint
luster and only minor signs of contact.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 28DY, PCGS# 8532, Greysheet# 9331)
