Description

1893-CC Ten, Semiprooflike AU58
Seldom Seen Finer

1893-CC $10 AU58 PCGS. Variety 1-A. In spite of the mintage of only 14,000 pieces, the 1893-CC ten is one of the more frequently encountered Carson City issues. This example shows the usual softness of high point detail, seen on almost all survivors. The semiprooflike surfaces are peppered with numerous small to medium-sized abrasions, again as seen on most examples. Each side is bright yellow-gold with a faint accent of reddish patina around the margins. Population: 31 in 58, 8 finer (4/16).(Registry values: N1793)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2672, PCGS# 8726, Greysheet# 9516)

Weight: 16.72 grams

Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
