1856-O $5 XF40 NGC. Variety 2. The 1856-O and 1892-O half eagles tie for lowest mintage among New Orleans fives with 10,000 coins per issue. According to Winter, only 90 to 110 examples of this No Motto type survive. Definition is slightly uneven across the orange-gold surfaces, nothing out of the ordinary for a circulated O-mint representative.
