Description

1820 Half, Colorfully Toned AU58
Square Base 2, Knob, O-105

1820 50C Square Base 2, Large Date, Knob, O-105, R.1, AU58 PCGS. A triple dentil beneath the leftmost pair of olive leaves differentiates the O-105 variety from O-104, which shares the same obverse die. The position of D in UNITED is also diagnostic (low on O-104, properly aligned on O-105). This is a stunning near-Mint example that displays a band of cerulean-blue around vibrant orange and lilac centers. The surfaces are smooth and reflective beneath the toning, with just a few tiny ticks to suggest its brief circulation. The eye appeal is terrific.
