Description
1926-D Nickel, MS65
Sharp and Satiny
1926-D 5C MS65 PCGS. CAC. Overextending die usage led
directly to deficiencies in the detail on these and other branch
mint nickels during the 1920s. This Gem Uncirculated example of the
1926-D is remarkably crisp. In fact, the braid, bison's head and
horn, and other motifs are downright sharp. Brilliant surfaces show
distinctly satin luster with hints of golden color.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22S6, PCGS# 3958, Greysheet# 3128)
