Description

Premium Gem Proof 1877 Indian Cent

1877 1C PR66 Red and Brown NGC. A near-pristine example of this popular key date. Struck from the "Bulged T" reverse that was first used to strike proofs in 1872, the right pennant of the T in CENT is in much higher relief than the other parts of that letter. Both sides display a flashy, highly reflective appearance, with bright-orange iridescence near the borders and deeper blue and rose shades in the centers. Even close inspection reveals only the most trivial of imperfections on the glittering surfaces. An attractive and impressively preserved Premium Gem proof.
