Description
High Relief MCMVII Double Eagle
Wire Rim
1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim PCGS Genuine. The PCGS number
ending in .92 suggests Cleaning as the reason, or perhaps one of
the reasons, that PCGS deemed this coin not gradable. In our
opinion, this coin has the details of an Uncirculated specimen that
has been cleaned. This lot could be a bargain for the astute
bidder, since the well struck green-gold surfaces are only mildly
luminous and lack any obtrusive hairlines. The eye appeal is
exceptional for a Genuine holder example. The obverse rim is
shelflike between 1 and 3 o'clock.
Note for clients in the European Union: This lot is considered by the European Union to be “investment gold”. We believe that it meets the criteria established in Article 344(1), point (2) of Council Directive 2006/112/EC and thus should be exempt from import VAT regardless of the selling price. Any questions or concerns about VAT should be addressed to your accountant or local tax authority.
