High Grade 1854 Half Cent with a 15% Straight Clip
1854 1/2 C --15% Straight Clip--MS66 Brown NGC. B-1, C-1, R.1. 4.6 grams. This well struck premium Gem features a straight mint-made clip from 1:30 to 4 o'clock. No Blakesley effect is apparent, although the rim near the clip shows metal flow toward the clip, as expected. Overall, a rich, glossy blue-brown color, glimpses of original mint orange emerge across the reverse.
