Description

Philippe VI de Valois gold Chaise d'or ND (1328-50), emission July 17, 1346, King on Gothic throne with scepter and fleur de lis/Floriated cross in quadrilobe, F-269, Dup-258, Ciani-292, 4.68 gm, lustrous Choice UNC (FDC). Another near-perfect example with bright luster and no apparent flaws. There is a slightly soft strike in one or two places on the reverse that detracts little from this superb piece.
