Description

1883-CC $10 VF20 PCGS. Variety 2-C. Four die varieties are known despite a mintage of just 12,000 pieces. Variety 2-C is rarer than the usual marriages 1-A and 1-B. Housed in an old green label holder, so it is little surprise that this wheat-gold coin appears sharper than the designated grade, though the strike is soft on the eagle's neck and fletchings and the curls near Liberty's ear.
