Description

1857 Double Eagle, MS60
Bright Orange-Gold Surfaces

1857 $20 MS60 NGC. As expected of the grade, this Mint State double eagle shows complete luster on both sides, here of the cartwheel variety, complementing the attractive orange-gold color. A couple of mentionable marks -- one scrape each in front and atop Liberty's coronet -- determine the grade, with a few other scattered abrasions, but the eye appeal is much better than one might expect.(Registry values: N2998)
