Description

1874 Arrows Dime, Colorful MS67
High-End Type Coin

1874 10C Arrows, F-107, R.3, MS67 PCGS. For the short-lived Legend Obverse, With Arrows type of 1873 and 1874, the 1874 Philadelphia Seated Liberty dime is the most accessible in high grade for type purposes. It is rare in Superb Gem condition, but it is also the only issue of the type that exists or is at least collectible in this grade (the 1873-S and '74-S are both pop-one issues in MS67). This piece displays frosty mint luster shining through blended rainbow toning that spans both sides and deepens toward the rims. A few hair-thin grazes are discernible only with a loupe. A superb example of this With Arrows type. Population: 9 in 67 (3 in 67+), 3 finer (9/16).
