1852 $10 Wass Molitor Ten Dollar, Large Head, Wide Date XF45 PCGS. K-4, R.5. Ex: S.S. Central America. SSCA 7147. A green-gold representative with a typical strike and ample glimpses of luster. The left obverse has a couple of moderate marks. Though the treasure ship mostly yielded 1857-S double eagles, a surprising 60 Kagin-4 Wass Molitor private gold pieces were recovered from the S.S. Central America shipwreck. Housed in a gold label holder. Listed on page 389 of the 2014 Guide Book. Population: 26 in 45, 27 finer (7/13).
