Description

1851 G$1 MS64 NGC. Hints of green and peach adorn both sides of this near-Gem example that was struck from moderately rotated dies. The piece is well-struck and exhibits pleasing eye appeal. Gold dollar mintage peaked between 1851 and 1853 in order to replace the silver coins that were being hoarded.
