1852-C G$1 AU58 NGC. Variety 2. Hints of green and peach
appear on this lovely near-Mint example of the variety with the
base of the 1 repunched. A large, as-made, strikethrough appears at
the center of the reverse. The Charlotte production for these 1852
gold dollars was only 9,434 pieces. Census: 35 in 58, 63 finer
