1920 5C Buffalo Nickel -- Struck on a Cent Planchet -- Fine 15
PCGS. This Buffalo nickel managed to remain in circulation for
some time before its unusual nature was discovered and it was set
aside. Or perhaps it was a pocket piece, given that the surfaces
are remarkably unblemished. Tan-brown fields and violet-blue high
points, along with partial legends and an undersized diameter, all
confirm that something went wrong at the U.S. Mint.Formerly in the Collection of Fred Weinberg.
