1861-S $10 AU55 NGC. CAC. A briefly circulated representative of this always-challenging earlier S-mint eagle issue, softly struck in general but pleasingly detailed on the central reverse. Lightly abraded sun-yellow surfaces have virtually intact luster, and only modest wear is present on the high points.
