Description
Conditionally Scarce Gem 1909-S Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle
1909-S $20 MS65 PCGS. This issue's sizeable original mintage of 2.7 million pieces disguises its rarity at the present level of Mint State preservation. A lovely reddish-gold example, the surfaces only show a few scattered small abrasions. The luster is thick and frosty, and further enhances the already memorable eye appeal of the piece. A sharply struck Gem that is conditionally scarce. This issue becomes rare and nearly unobtainable any finer. From The Worth Bruntjen Collection.(Registry values: N2998)
