Description
1854 50C Liberty Octagonal 50 Cents, BG-308, R.4, MS63 PCGS. The only 1854 octagonal half variety with the date on the reverse. BG-308 is also the sole Nouizillet Small Head octagonal half variety. This flashy orange-gold representative is practically without abrasions, though the 54 in the date is soft as it is opposite the high point of the portrait. Population: 15 in 63, 6 finer (3/18).From The David Sunshine Collection.
