Not Sold Description
Low-Mintage 1921-S Fifty Cent, AU50
1921-S 50C AU50 NGC. The 1921-S half dollar has a low production of 548,000 pieces, and was apparently not saved in large numbers at the time of striking. The present AU offering exhibits a better-than-average strike, including partial definition on Liberty's branch hand, an area that is usually weak (Jeff Ambio, 2008). Semibright surfaces are devoid of significant contacts, though we mention an unobtrusive hair-thin mark in the right obverse field for complete accuracy.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24R8, PCGS# 6585, Greysheet# 6724)
