Tripled Die Obverse
1878 7/8F $1 Tripled Blossoms AU53 PCGS. VAM-44, R.7. A Top
100 Variety. Most specialists consider the VAM-44 to be the number
one Morgan dollar variety, with the leaves and cotton bolls in the
hair strongly die tripled. Slight doubling is also apparent on the
eagle's legs. This lightly worn specimen is only lightly marked,
