Brightly Reflective PR 66 Closed 3 1873 Two Cent Piece
1873 Closed 3 PR 66 Red and Brown PCGS. An original striking, as are all Closed 3 two centers, and a proof-only issue with only 600 pieces struck less an unknown number that were melted in July. The fields are bright and flashy with most of the original red color still intact, however, slight browning is seen in the center of the obverse. The coin appears flawless and there are no carbon spots apparent either.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2753, PCGS# 3652, Greysheet# 2758)
