Description
Finest Known 1888 Three Cent Nickel, MS 68 PCGS
1888 MS 68 PCGS. An essentially perfect specimen, ultra-frosty and faintly toned in barely detectable hues of rose-golden color. One of the few business strike three cent nickel issues to periodically surface in superb condition, but still many times scarcer than similarly graded proofs. As a bonus, this is the singularly finest graded three cent nickel piece by either service (5/98).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 275H, PCGS# 3757, Greysheet# 2788)
Weight: 1.94 grams
Metal: 75% Copper, 25% Nickel
