Saxony. Johann Georg I Taler 1617 AU50 NGC, Dresden mint, KM103, Dav-7595. Struck to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. On one side of the coin is the portrait of Johann Georg I, Duke in 1617. On the other side is the portrait of Friedrich der Weise, Duke in 1517. Evenly and lightly worn with subtle crimson-gold and blue highlights. Sold with old collector's envelope.
