Description

Richly Colored 1898-S Eagle, MS63

1898-S $10 MS63 PCGS. CAC. The 1898-S eagle has a reasonable mintage of 473,600 pieces, but most must have entered West Coast commerce: Uncirculated survivors are scarce, and most of them are bagmarked. The present richly colored orange-gold example sports unencumbered cartwheel luster, and the sharply struck surfaces display surprisingly few marks. Population: 33 in 63, 10 finer (3/11).
