1827 50C Square Base 2--Cleaned--ANACS, AU Details, Net XF45, O-131, R.2, irregular charcoal accents; 1829--Cleaned--ANACS, AU Details, Net XF45, O-117, R.2, the cleaning seems to be limited to the dullish obverse; 1831--Cleaned--ANACS, AU Details, Net XF45, O-119, R.2, bits of orange-gold and steel-blue toning still clings to the devices; 1834 Small Date, Small Letters--Cleaned--ANACS, AU Details, Net AU50, O-113, R.1, a scuff on the neck shows up under magnification; 1834 Small Date, Small Letters--Damaged--ANACS, Unc Details, Net AU50, O-113, R.1, a patch of roughness in the field below Liberty's nose appears to be a post minting distraction; 1837--Whizzed--ANACS, AU Details, Net XF40, Breen-4732, orange and steel-blue toning masks the unnatural surfaces; and (2) 1838--Cleaned--ANACS, AU Details, Net XF45, Breen-4734, one is appreciably dulled while the other cleaning resulted in a brightening effect.Auction Info
