1847/47 1C Large Over Small 47 MS63 Brown PCGS. N-31, R.5. Die state D. A lovely golden-brown piece, intricately struck with all star centrils crisp. Marks are so trivial as to be not worthy of mention for the grade. Traces of steel-blue color are a bit more prevalent on the obverse. This Guide Book variety is quite scarce in Mint State, and most such pieces are likely from the more available Newcomb-2 dies.
