1877-S Quarter, Struck 5% Off Center, MS64
1877-S 25C Seated Quarter--Struck 5% Off Center--MS64 PCGS. Struck several degrees off center toward 7 o'clock, the legends are intact but are moderately distorted, as made. This lustrous and meticulously struck near-Gem is beautifully preserved and displays original sea-green and steel-gray patina. Off center 19th century silver coins in high Uncirculated grades are exceptionally rare, and the present piece would be a main attraction in any advanced collection of mint errors.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23V7, PCGS# 5506, Greysheet# 5216)
