Double Struck, Off Center 1971-D Half
1971-D 50C Kennedy Half--Double Struck, Second Strike 25% Off Center--MS62 NGC. The first strike was normal, but the piece failed to fully eject from the dies, and was struck again, off center toward 10 o'clock relative to the first strike. Both dates and mintmarks are bold. Lustrous with medium honey-gold toning and a few thin marks in line with the ear from the second strike.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24UB, PCGS# 6717, Greysheet# 6927)
