Description

Popular MCMVII High Relief Double Eagle

1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim MS62 NGC. This is the Roman Numerals design as envisioned by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The date is displayed as MCMVII. The surfaces have wonderful greenish-gold luster with frosty texture. A couple minute rim bruises are visible, at 2 o'clock on the obverse and 5 o'clock on the reverse. This wire rim variety was struck first, and today is considered more plentiful of the two varieties.
